You’ve poured your heart, soul, and sweat into making your SaaS. But your SaaS website is not getting organic traffic.
It’s a common problem for new SaaS websites. That doesn’t mean you can’t get traffic to your website.
You can get targeted traffic to your website. The traffic will convert into paying customers.
Below, I’ll share some super-effective ninja techniques to get targeted organic traffic to your SaaS website.
Let’s just dive right in.
What Is Organic Traffic?
Organic traffic is basically FREE views on your site. You’re not spending a single penny on ads or anything to show up in Google search.
Having a SaaS SEO strategy can help you get more organic traffic to your website.
I’ve listed some effective ways to get traffic to your website.
Target Super Low Competitive Keywords
If your SaaS website is new, you should target low-competitive keywords.
How to find target keywords for your SaaS websites to get more traffic:
Keyword Research Tools
First, let’s start with a keyword research tool. I’ll use Semrush.
Log in to your Semrush account. Navigate the Keyword Magic Tool and click on it.
Enter your seed keywords.
Next, use the filters to filter out competitive keywords. For that, just set the KD to 29.
You can see the results.

It’s showing low-competitive and commercial intent keywords.
It isn’t super easy to find keywords using a tool
Use AnswerThePublic
AnswerThePublic shows you the questions that people are searching for.
When you enter any topic, it will show you questions, monthly search volume, intent, and difficulty.

It’s pretty simple.
Reddit is a GOLDMINE for keyword research. I’m not kidding. As a SaaS founder, if you’re not on, you’re missing out. Not just for keyword research, it can help you improve your product.
You can see what people are talking about in your industry. You read the real and raw data.
For now, we’ll focus on keyword research. Let’s see how to use it for keyword research.
I searched for “project management software”.

And within a few seconds, I found a subtopic. Now I’ll check if the keyword has any search volume and commercial intent.
When I put this keyword in Keyword Magic Tool, I got some commercial intent keywords.

These keywords are going to attract a decent amount of traffic and sales as well.
Search for your topic and scroll down. And you’ll find some awesome keywords that you can go after.
Quora
You might have read an answer on Quora before. But did you know you can use it for your keyword research?
YES.
People are asking a lot of questions in almost every industry. Chances are, your potential customers are also asking questions here.
Enter your topic and find some relevant questions.
Now head over to Semrush and enter the questions to find the keyword data.
If the keywords are less competitive, go and create content.
And if you don’t find any, repeat these steps.
Update Your Posts
It’s THE easiest way to increase your traffic for your SaaS. Because you already wrote the posts and but for some reason the posts are not showing up on Google.
Or maybe some posts used to rank on the first page of Google. But now they’re sitting on the 5th page.
Find Pages
Go to Google Search Console. It will work only if you’ve already set up Search Console.
Log in to your Google Search Console account. Click on the Performance tab. Click on the Compare tab and select “Compare last 28 days year over year”. Now click on Apply.
Now scroll down to find pages that have lost traffic. Compare the “Clicks”.
You can see which pages have lost traffic.
Create a new spreadsheet and add the web pages, traffic, and their positions.
First attack on the posts that are ranking on the second page. They can rank on the #1 page faster.
How To Update To Get Maximum Organic Traffic From Google
Go to Search Console again and click on the page you’re attacking.
Next, click on the Queries tab. It will show you the keywords. Your pages are getting impressions for these keywords.
Add them to the spreadsheet you just created.
Now open the Semrush Keyword Magic tool or any keyword research tool and conduct fresh keyword research. If you can find relevant keywords that you can add.
You should have a handful of keywords.
Time to update the post. Search your topic on Google and analyse the competitors, see what they are doing. Don’t try to copy them.
Update the blog posts and make them thorough and helpful for your readers.
You can check Google’s guide to create GREAT content.
Sprinkle the keywords throughout the post.
Updating doesn’t mean just adding. Sometimes you need to cut out irrelevant information and fluff.
You can even rewrite the whole post again to match the search intent.
Search intent is the most IMPORTANT element here. Because if you can’t satisfy the user intent, you’ll not rank higher on Google.
Let’s recap:
- Update the post
- Match the search intent
- Sprinkle keywords
Within 30 days, you should see an increase in your organic traffic.
I’ve used this approach to rank a page from the 5th page to the first page in just 1 week.
If you have a blog, you should check out this post to avoid blogging mistakes.
Build Links
You need backlinks to get organic traffic to your website. If you don’t have enough links, you’ll struggle to outrank your competitors.
Here are some ways to build links:
- Create Linkable Assets
- Digital PR
- Do Guest Blogging – It can attract some referral traffic as well
- Publish industry reports and statistics
Here’s a detailed guide on SaaS link building.
Be A Guest On Relevant Podcasts
Podcasts are going crazy. More and more people are listening to podcasts.
According to Exploding Topics, there are over 500 million podcast listeners.
I’m sure you watch at least 1 podcast, if not more.
Why not use a podcast to promote your SaaS and increase your organic traffic?
Yes, you can.
“Hey Subhra, how can I find relevant podcasts”? I hear you ask.
You can use a website called Podchaser.

I put SaaS, and you can see there are plenty of podcasts around SaaS.
List down all the podcasts about SaaS businesses.
Now send an email like this.
I’ve been tuning into [Podcast Name] for a bit now—the episode with [Recent Guest Name] specifically hit home for me because of [one specific thing they talked about]. Rock solid stuff.
I’ve been building [Your SaaS Name] lately, and we’ve run into some pretty wild (and honestly, kind of painful) lessons regarding [Specific Topic, e.g., scaling to 100 customers / failing at SEO / pivoting].
I think your listeners might get a kick out of hearing the “unfiltered” version of that story. No gatekeeping—just the actual numbers and the mistakes I made in my journey.
Do you think that’d be a good fit for an upcoming episode? If not, no worries at all—I’ll still be listening regardless.
Cheers,
[Your Name]
Not all podcast hosts will reply to you. And that’s okay. You’ll need a few who have a decent audience.
You’ll get your name, your brand name, and your website URL mentioned on their podcast.
If the podcast gets decent views, you’ll get some brand search for your SaaS. And a branch search is a super strong signal.
Pro Tip: You should check out the Starter Story YouTube channel. The founder of this channel shares SaaS success stories. You can contact him. He might consider hosting you on his channel
Start Writing On LinkedIn
LinkedIn has over 1.2 billion users. LinkedIn is a social network for professionals. You can find your potential customers here.
I’d recommend building a following before writing posts. Once you build a loyal audience, it will help you get more exposure.
It will take some time, but it will be worth your time.
Write posts on LinkedIn to solve problems of your target audience. Don’t add a link in the LinkedIn post. You should add a comment and share your link in the comment.
If you add links in the post, LinkedIn will limit your reach. LinkedIn wants its users to stay on the platform as long as possible.
You can promote and publish your old blog posts on LinkedIn. Take a portion and paste it on LinkedIn. You can tweak it.
Don’t paste the whole post.
Share your web page links in comments.
You can repurpose your old blog posts on LinkedIn.
Create Videos
Videos are everywhere. Everyone and their mom is watching videos on multiple platforms.
People who are in your industry do watch videos.
And you can create videos for them for brand awareness. You can share both long-form and short-form videos.
For example, Snov has a YouTube channel

I’d recommend starting with YouTube long-form videos. Then you can trim them and use them as short videos. You should also create dedicated short-form videos. They work well for brand awareness.
The best part, you can repurpose your videos on other platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, etc.
